3D-Printed Model: Bringing SOYJOY's "Little Soybean" to Life

We were delighted to collaborate with the renowned Otsuka Pharmaceutical (H.K.) Ltd. on a special project. Using our professional 3D-printing technology, we brought "Little Soybean," the beloved mascot for the popular SOYJOY Nutrition Bar, to life as a physical model!

Our task was to transform the charming "Little Soybean" from a 2D sketch into a lively and vivid 3D model. There are two distinct poses: one with a chef's hat, hands raised in excitement, and another standing energetically in a sports headband. When the models were complete and arranged together, they formed an adorable "Little Soybean" army — a truly heartwarming sight!

A Fusion of Technology and Craftsmanship

To perfectly capture the essence of "Little Soybean," our team followed a meticulous production process, handling each step with the utmost care:

1) 3D Modeling

First, our designers used the professional 3D modeling software Blender to construct a digital model of "Little Soybean." Working from the client's 2D image, they meticulously captured every curve, expression, and detail.

2) SLA Printing

We selected SLA 3D printing technology with white resin to achieve the high-quality finish required. This method produces an exceptionally smooth surface, free of visible layer lines, creating the perfect canvas for painting.

3) Post-Processing and Painting

After printing, each model was meticulously sanded and prepared for painting. Our specialists then skilfully applied vibrant colours, adhering to the client's requirements. As the final details of the eyes and mouth were added, each "Little Soybean" truly came to life!

4) The Finishing Touch: The Base

For a secure and polished display, we laser-cut a clear, round acrylic base for each model. This finishing touch elevates the final product, adding to its exquisite and professional appearance.
